The problems that we may often face in water heater are water heater leaking. Actually it may leak on several part of the heater, especially on the bottom water of the heater or people call it heater leaking from underneath. It may happen because of several factors, first of all, the wrong way in installing the Temperature and Pressure relief valve T&V. Second, still related to the first factor, is the leak on the T&V because of the high pressure on it. Third, it also may be caused of leaking on several parts of the heater, such as the leak of water tank and the plumbing connection.

After you know the cause of heater leaking from underneath, you can repair it by following these steps. First of all examine the T&P valve, clean it from any debris, if it still leaking, you have to replace it. Second, to prevent the tank from overheating, lower the thermostat setting. Finally examine the bottom of the tank by looking the combustion chamber. If the combustion chamber bottom shows the water heavy rusting replace the water heater. Finally this is the possible caution of heater leaking from underneath, you can also find other ways if you find this is not useful.
